P.O.W.E.R.S., a group of ambitious and talented girls in Santa Rosa attended the annual Believe in NM Girls conference in Albuquerque and decided they wanted their own conference. Mentored by caring adults, the girls will host the first conference of its kind in Santa Rosa for other girls in their county.

Working Classroom and N4 Theater Present: Black Butterfly, Jaguar Girl, Pinata Woman, and Other Superhero Girls, Like Me written by MacArthur "Genius Award" recipient Luis Alfaro. Village Academy Charter School Girls Session

This workshop will help the girls at Village Academy Charter School in Bernalillo clearly define goals and create a "goal getter" plan of action. Girls will also spend time learning about effective communication, the definition of being a girl and other aspects of obtaining self-respect.
